Director of Purchasing & Estimating | Milwaukee, Wisconsin
A highly respected homebuilding organization in the Milwaukee market is seeking a Director of Purchasing & Estimating to step into a visible leadership role with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned purchasing and estimating leader who thrives in a collaborative, people-focused culture and is energized by the opportunity to create positive change, strengthen operational performance, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Given the continued importance of cost discipline across the industry, this role will be instrumental in leading cost controls, margin protection, pricing accuracy, and disciplined estimating practices that directly support profitability and sustainable growth.
Equally important, this leader must bring experience within the custom homebuilding space, with a strong understanding of the complexities that come with highly personalized builds, elevated finish levels, unique floor plans, and client-driven modifications. Success in this role requires balancing exceptional customer expectations with disciplined purchasing and estimating processes.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in:
- Residential purchasing leadership
- Custom home estimating and cost forecasting
- Trade partner and vendor negotiations
- Budget management and margin preservation
- Value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
- Pricing strategy for custom selections and upgrades
- Process improvement and operational efficiencies
This individual will partner closely with construction, operations, and executive leadership to strengthen systems, improve consistency, and identify opportunities for enhanced performance across the business.
