Job Description
Director of Land Development
We’re seeking a Director of Land Development — a strategic leader and integrator who will oversee all aspects of horizontal land development and guide a talented existing team of professionals.
What You’ll Do

Lead the land development process from raw land through finished lots, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high standards.

Manage and mentor a skilled team of land development professionals — fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Partner cross-functionally with construction, sales, and leadership to ensure seamless community delivery.

Oversee budgets, schedules, contractors, and consultants while solving challenges with foresight and creativity.

Represent the organization with municipalities, utility providers, and development partners.

Proven leadership experience in residential land development (horizontal construction).

A strong “integrator” mindset — someone who thrives on aligning people, processes, and priorities.

Deep technical knowledge of site development, engineering, and infrastructure.

Ability to balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.

A collaborative, people-focused leader who elevates teams and gets results.
