My retained client in the Pacific Northwesti is seeking a VP of Operations for their Corporate offices in Washington State. Portland/Vancouver Area. 10+ Years of Operations experience in Homebuilding is required.

POSITION OBJECTIVE The Vice President of Operations develops plans, establishes goals, creates and refines processes and drives results to ensure that business plan objectives are met, consistent with the vision of the organization. They are also an outspoken champion of the company vision and core values in all departments under their leadership, driving cohesion between departments and locations to accomplish shared goals.

1. Own business plan KPI’ s for all Operational Areas including customer satisfaction, starts, closings, cycle time, gross margin, variance, and budget conformance. 2. Collaborate with the other members of the Executive Team in the creation of the annual business plan, including all relevant corporate and departmental initiatives. Provide leadership as needed. 3. Plan, staff, and supervise all Construction, Pre-Construction and Purchasing activities through direct-report managers to ensure a coordinated and cohesive operational team. 4. Provide advice, guidance, and direction to direct-report managers toward their professional development. Encourage other leaders to progress within the company. 5. Ensure the compatibility of the Operational team’ s short-term and long-term goals with company vision and core values. 6. Be a champion of using technology to solve problems and increase efficiency in all Operational areas, including making personal use of company technology resources. 7. Create, implement and monitor processes aimed at making the business more efficient, effective and accountable. 8. Be the company representative in customer dispute processes, including arbitration and litigation. 9. Co-own the company culture along with the rest of the Executive Team. 10. Perform additional duties as required by the needs of the company.

Bachelor’ s Degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field 10+ years of progressive experience in residential construction, with both Purchasing and Vertical Construction management experience Travel Requirements - approximately 25%
