The Vice President of Construction role can be based out of Austin or San Antonio and responsible for oversight of both horizontal and vertical construction for the current and future projects in this market. Any new projects will be in Texas and not require relocation but will require travel. This role is more heavily focused on vertical construction oversight, although a qualified fit will also be comfortable with horizontal construction oversight and easily be able to transition projects from horizontal to vertical and get projects kicked off without any issues.
Scope of work includes 12-15 month buildouts with a minimum of 50 lots per project and the potential to work on up to 3-5 projects at a time. We are looking for someone who is hungry to grow in their career and can be a proactive part of helping to grow and streamline processes in the market area. For the horizontal piece of this role, this person should be able to understand models and how to kick start projects from a civil engineering standpoint and then transition over to keeping tabs on the vertical side (General Manager) to ensure each project is running smoothly from start to finish. This also includes acting as a liaison between the property managers at the completion of each project to ensure open communication during the turnover process. Experience with Buildtrend software is a plus.
